Bafta Nominations Are Cool

Matt Smith has been nominated for a BAFTA for the 2010 season of Doctor Who! The series has won a BAFTA before (the 2005 season won for Best Series) but this is the first time that the actor playing the Doctor has been nominated for playing the part. He’s up against some pretty heady company - Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch is also nominated along with Jim Broadbent and Daniel Rigby. Congratulations to Matt - hopefully he will be the winner when they announce the awards (May 22nd), but even just getting nominated is a notable achievement worth celebrating.
