Ah yes I remember it well….oh hang on a tic, I wasn’t born quite yet back then. However I have been watching the show since 1981. Who out there remembers in the southern Ontario area, Channel 17 PBS Mon. thru Fri 6pm and what seemed like at the time a Chronic Hysteresis loop of Tom Baker episodes from ROBOT to LOGOPOLIS over and over and over. Eventually they threw some Pertwee in there as well and the new Peter Davison episodes on Saturdays. Its hard to believe but at one point in this area, without the need of a VCR, you could watch Doctor Who 8 times a week. Monday to Saturday on PBS and also Saturdays and Thursdays on TV Ontario. Happy Birthday to the best show ever!
