Sally Sparrow Hits The Big Time
There are news reports everywhere (but we’ll link to Yahoo News since it makes the Doctor Who connection) about Carey Mulligan (AKA Blink‘s Sally Sparrow)‘s breakout role (in Hollywood terms anyway) in the film An Education where she plays a 17 year-old who has a relationship with a 36 year-old man in 1960s London. People who have seen her performance are already talking about Oscar contention—and that’s saying something given that she’s sharing the film with heavyweights like Peter Sarsgaard and Emma Thompson. The film appears to be in limited release at the moment, but hopefully will make it to wide release soon.
