The Dominators….er, The War Games on DVD…
We were all excited when a DVD trailer for the Patrick Troughton story The Dominators showed up on YouTube earlier this week. Especially when a) it was clear from the restoration work and VidFIREing done that this was the real deal and not some fan thing (and it looked gorgeous) and b) the trailer made The Dominators look like the most exciting thing on earth.
Sadly, the Internet went ablaze, 2Entertain realized the mistake and it’s now off of the drwhodvdtrailer YouTube Channel. (Go there quick—they still have a complete DVD extra from The Keys of Marinus—an interview with typically grumpy and dyspeptic Raymond Cusick about design work on that story—on the channel). So we can’t show you that. But we’ll show you the DVD trailer for The War Games (already out in the UK and coming to North America in November) which is pretty neat as well…

I like how the trailers make even the most below average episode look AMAZING. Not to say that The War Games falls into that category, mind you.

I seem to recall a lot of running through fields in this story. The trailer doesn’t show too much of that.
