Having avoided spoilers in general, not having seen season 2 before its CBC premiere, but not burying my head in the sand either, I wonder: are those Dalek UFOs in the background of the 07 annual there for a reason?

The only real reason is marketing. Rest assured Jimmy, that background photo of the Dalek Photos is taken from Bad Wolf/Parting of the Ways, and those ships do not appear in Series Two (or Season 28 as I prefer to call it).

Not sure where this fits, so a little bit of trivia to add here!
Camille Coduri (sp?) who played Jackie Tyler in the NEW series of Doctor Who played opposite Peter Davison who played the Doctor in the OLD series of Doctor who in the recently TVO shown episode of The Last Detective. Was quite a treat for a Doctor Who fan.
Incidentally, Peter Davison is excellent in The Last Detective, his best role since Tristan Farnon in All Creatures Great and Small (and of course the Doctor).

i like David Tennant a lot, and Billie Piper a lot.

The Last Detective seems to be a kind weird meeting place for Sci-Fi stars. This weeks episode had Peter Davison playing opposite the guy who plays Apollo on the new BSG series.
