And now Adric is a Cyberman. The tragic irony!

You think the Master went back into space in prehistoric times to collect all of his atoms and put them together?

One rainy day. Nice and relaxing to do a jigsaw puzzle.

So are Amy and Rory. That’s less ironic but arguably sadder.

I guess this means Doctor Who has now made an episode of The Walking Dead?

Well, if they were all Cybermen they weren’t for long. And I thought Walking Dead too.
There’s something very frightening about taking a living person and converting their body. Now if you’d been dead awhile and you were suddenly a Cyberman for a day, you might think it was pretty cool.

I have to admit, the final resolution to the Doctor-Clara-Danny situation was just a bit disappointing. It can’t end this way, I thought. And it turns out I was not alone in that opinion.
The last scene with Santa Claus suggests Stephen Moffat realized he hadn’t really resolved the situation. So what would I like for Christmas? A new ending to this season.

And so we come to the end of the first season of the newest Doctor. It would be nice if I could say something positive about the season but I can’t. Capaldi is a good actor but after the previous three doctors he just doesn’t fit into the new canon (i.e Doctors since 2005). There’s not one episode that stood out for me. At this point in time I have only vague recollections of each week. The history episode with Robin Hood was, well, forgettable compared to Elizabeth I, Van Gogh etc. The scary outing pales beside Don’t Blink. The outer space adventure. Something about the Moon hatching? Clara’s revelation that she was not Clara turned out to be a just a ruse. I had hoped it was going to be a mind blowing moment in the history of the series. It wasn’t. P.E. is dead. Hooray! But I suppose that authority hater will be somehow come back whether I want him to or not. (Just like Rory). As for Clara herself I really thought they had written her out until the credits were interrupted by ... Santa (?!). Obvious promo. for the upcoming Christmas night show. Expect that kid sent back by P.E. will figure prominently in the plot on Dec. 25. Could be a real tearjerker. We’ll see!
