Doctor Who Advent Calendar - Day 24

On this holiday eve I present to you happy tidings from the very first Doctor.

From the mostly “lost” story The Dalek Masterplan’s episode 7 (The Feast of Steven) ends with a strange yet appropriate nod to this time of year, and to us the fans by breaking the fourth wall some 46 years ago. Originally broadcast on the 25th of December, 1965 this short moment in Doctor Who’s long history is in fact the very first televised Doctor Who Christmas Special.

This animated reconstruction was created by fan Garrett Gilchrist, and it’s a welcome gift.

Merry Christmas from all of us here at DWIN, ENLIGHTENMENT, WHO PARTY, and THE DOCTOR WHO BLOG.
