InnerSpace Live Season Finale This Saturday
Just a reminder that on this Saturday, SPACE will be airing this season’s final episode, “The Big Bang.” Immediately following the finale, SPACE will have a special edition of INNERSPACE at 10:10 p.m. ET. Broadcasting live in front of a studio audience from SPACE headquarters in Toronto, this one-hour special is hosted by INNERSPACE host and genre expert Teddy Wilson and features an expert panel, never seen before interviews and a live web chat.
The Expert Panel will include comedian Gavin Stephens, blogger J.M. Frey, dose.ca columnist Kat Angus and…um, some guy named Graeme Burk. Oh, yes, that’s me. There will be a few other surprises to come.
All the panel were invited to blog about Doctor Who and the current season on SPACE’s blog. You can read all of what we had to say on Space’s website.
See you all Saturday!

Is it just something about “The Pyramids of Mars” that has such drawing power? The first episode of _Doctor Who_ I ever saw was perhaps seven or eight years before yours, and it was on TVOntario, not PBS. However, it was indeed “Pyramids”. As much as I’ve come to appreciate the different moods and methods of the different eras and Doctors of the series (classic and New), I keep coming back to that delightful combination of Hinchcliffe/Holmes/T. Baker/Sladen as ‘my’ personal favourite.
Meanwhile, my wife, who for years sat on the couch beside me and tolerated (or at least read quietly) my Time-Lord obsession, now actually watches and pays attention (and asks too many questions because she cannot wilfully suspend her disbelief). However, her ‘favourite’ Doctor is Christopher Eccleston.
I’m enjoying the new season, with reservations. I’m prepared to forgive some clunkers as a new production team and new leads get their feet under the table. I’m not sold on the new Daleks; to my eye, they look as though the BBC was looking to sell Daleks as Lego kits. There’s none of the menace and threat of the burnished metal Time War Daleks. What they need to do is establish themselves in the classic Dalek mode, as plotters and schemers.
I look forward to Saturday night.
