A Little Sneak Peak at Christmas
We are (at the time of writing) just two months away from the next new Doctor Who story (and also two months away from Christmas - you can decide for yourselves which one is more important to you). Filming has wrapped up on the 2011 Christmas special (the title of which still has not been released publicly) and the above photo is one of a number that have come our way (we won’t put up the others as they are a little too spoilery). This story is, from what I understand, the last to be made by executive producer Piers Wenger and the last at current BBC studios in Wales. The production team is now shifting offices to the new BBC studio facility Roath Lock which has just completed construction and is now open for business. Filming on the next season is not expected to commence until the production team has settled in at Roath Lock, and the scuttlebut is that it will commence around February or March.

So it looks like its a story about when The Doctor materialized on a street at night. Should be a good one.

They just announced that a preview of the Christmas special will air Nov. 18 as part of the Children in Need special, so we’ll get another peek in a few weeks. We should probably learn the title of the special in the next couple of weeks as well.
